I have not seen this. Then again, I purchased a couple of dozen domains years and years and years ago that I keep when it was easier to get one without it being called a premium.

I hadn't seen them, but I'm not surprised. Whoever owns the domain knows it is valuable.

I used to have a great domain, failed to renew quickly, someone else swooped in grabbed it and tried to ransome it to me.  The last I checked, they still own it.

I have seen some high price tags on url's . I just wish I had thought about buying up a bunch early on, like 20+ years ago soon after Al Gore invented the Internet.

That happened to me once. So I kept searching for different variations. Turns out an even better domain name was available for standard cost!

Not really - although we own over 200 domain names and many from local complexes - when we want one we just get as close to what we need as possible - we've never bought a so called "premier" because in our estimation there is no such thing anymore

Sure have. Parked domains any of us snatch up and think someday. Those websites need weeding, feeding, watering and we are already data input technicians right? Information vending machines, all of the sites are for property listings to slice and dice. For area information, the real estate process explained right?

Yes!  I've seen some high priced domains.  I'm watching one now, not that expensive.  That's too much for my pocketbook. 

That is a lot to spend for a domain, but if it truly is a good one - maybe! 

I have two domain names I own and would be willing to sell. They are FiveReasonstobuyahome.com and FiveReasonstosellahome.com. $2800.00  sounds good for 1 or $5,600 for the both

  There used to a be a domain re-seller who posted here on ActiveRain.  I talked with him on the phone once.  He had a lot of domain names for sale at $$$ prices. 

I have not and would not pay that kind of money

With companies now hoarding them and has gone beyond the smart guy who knew enough to register his great idea and profit

I've not seen the premium domain (never heard that term either).  I've come across several that were bought and being squatted until someone wanted to bid for them.
