Redfin reports that 24.9% of its website users throughout the country searched outside their metropolitan region to locate a new house. Housing costs and the rise in popularity of remote work are two factors driving homebuyers to s...

Saving a little every month will help create a rainy day fund to use when your home needs repairs and maintenance.  I am not sure if you are a supply side economist or a demand supply type.  Saving a little each month will definitely help when the need arises.  You can plan ahead and figure out the life expectancies of the major appliances of your home.  roofs typically last 10-15 years.  Hot water heaters, air conditioning, etc, etc.  This is normal maintenance and not an upgrade.  Those two can be combined if and when the time arises but most folks don't think that far ahead.  Every bit you put aside regularly will help you when the unexpected happens.#thehelpfulagent #home #houseexpert #house #happyhomeowners #listreports #smartmoney #finances #realestate #realestateagent #happyhome

An article in REALTOR® Magazine inspired me to write this post, thanks to my friend and fellow NAR GREEN Designee, Craig Foley.  The article  is a reminder of all that I've learned since 2008 about selling high performance homes.  The process is different and requires expanded education to market, sell, and garner more value for this unique homes.    Read on to see why and how the process is different. In June, 2010,  a form was created to serve as an attachment to appraisals.  The form is now six pages long and is very comprehensive.    Why was this form created?  What information is added to the form?  Where is it housed?  Who created this form?    The form was created to account for the many features included in a high performance home.  What is a high performance home?  Homes with f...
