 Country’s BBQ Ribbon Cutting: A Fresh Start with Familiar Flavors! Today, I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting for the new Country’s BBQ, and wow – it looks amazing! I’ve made so many wonderful memories at their old location over the years, and while I’ll miss that building, the new one is absolutely stunning. The inside is beautifully decorated, and they even brought the huge rocking chair from the original spot – such a nostalgic touch! Readers and Greeters  This young couple will be waiting to greet you as you go into the main door of our new library!  They may be distracted, however, by this fascinating book that they are sharing.  The brand new Larry and Janett Crain library opened September 18, 2024 and a large crowd attended.  It is a magnificent building with something for everyone inside. (This, by the way, is different from National Burger Day which is celebrated on May 28th). What could be more American, besides Coke and apple pie, than a juicy cheeseburger? Beckett has officially stepped into the world of cotillion! This past Sunday marked the beginning of her 6-week journey, and she’s already embracing it with enthusiasm and grace. As it was a Monday, we figured we would have anyplace to ourselves, so off we went to find a new spot for us, Red Meadow Lake.Red Meadow Lake is located near Olney Montana, approximately ten miles from the Canadian border as the crow flies, although it's a lot further if you want to drive it! But back to Red Meadow Lake.AccessTo get to the lake, you need to take Route 93 north through Whitefish. When you get to Olney, you'll make a right onto Olney Crossover Road/Upper Whitefish Road, and you're going to take that about nine miles. Today is Constitution and Citizenship DayConstitution Day is celebrated on September 17…the day in 1787 when the delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document that would become our Constitution.  It also recognizes new naturalized citizens to our great country with ceremonies held throughout the country. After 2001, I carried small copies of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution in my travel bag.
