Learning about ED&C ProceduresThe Physician's Assistant for Dr. Stephen J. Krivda at Montgomery Dermatology Associates called to tell me about the results of a recent biopsy. He advised that I had a squamous cell carcinoma that needed to be removed from the front part of the top of my head. He then asked if I was familiar with electrodesiccation and curettage procedures. I was not familiar with the procedure but agreed to a Friday morning appointment for the removal.  After the ED&C procedure, Dr. Krivda advised that all went well and I was fine until the next appointment scheduled in April. I had to visit Google for details on the procedure.Scraping or burning-off skin growths (also known as electrodesiccation and curettage) can be used for less serious skin cancers, pre-cancers and be...

Proud Dad moments are what we all love. Bill  As a proud Dad I have been watching the Newspaper like a hawk to see if Timmothy made the Dean's List for his performance during the Fall semester. Finally, in today's paper, and also a certificate in the mail, there it was. Even better than the Dean's List, Timmothy made the President's Honor Roll. As many of you have seen his cartooning skills have really been improving BUT he also took Economics and English classes as well. His non-cartooning art has also greatly improved, which I will share soon. For those of you who may be asking "How is Tina doing?" I am pretty sure she is either back in the USA or in the air as I write this. I'm sure she will have many deployment stories to share. It's been a long 6 months for Dad but at least with mo...

One of the guest who is staying at one of our investors homes here in The Villages, Florida called concerned about these little creatures that kinda look like very small alligators, they are all over the place!  This was their first experience with Geckos and we told them they are harmless and good to have around as they eat mosquitos, spiders and ants and here in Florida anything that eats bugs is a good thing!I decided to Google Florida Geckos and it is complicated, some sites say we have 10 types of Geckos, others 12, 15, 17 and the most 18 types, doesn’t matter all of them are harmless.  Concerned about infestation? Don’t be they live outside in shady areas you might see one in your home but they want out as soon as possible.  I have an open paver patio on the east side of my home w...

I can’t take credit for this one but wanted to share, this comes maybe second or third hand.  A couple was touring The Villages, Florida with a real estate agent, not sure if a Realtor or one of The Villages Licensed Sales Agents.  During the tour either the husband or the wife commented you don’t see any funeral homes or cemeteries here in The Villages, why is that!  The agent said “oh we burn and ship” which was quite the answer. Let me explain in a much better way than Burn and Ship!  Nobody is born and raised in The Villages, they can’t be as nobody under 19 can live here full time.  You could have been raised just outside The Villages, but anyway the majority of folks living aren’t from here!  In my 11 years of living here and attending many funerals and Celebrations of Life and on...

By Michael Moran, The Tax Killer™
(Apex Tax Defense LLC)
I focus my practice on tax resolution, representing taxpayers in Colorado, Florida, Texas, New York, California and elsewhere. A tax levy is a legal action taken by the IRS to collect unpaid taxes by seizing a taxpayer's assets, such as wages, bank accounts, and property. If you receive a notice of tax levy, it's important to take immedate action to resolve this issue. Here are some steps to take:1 - Contact the IRS  - you can contact the IRS to request a release of levy or to discuss payment options2 - Request a hearing - you can request a hearing with the IRS Office of Appeals to dispute the amount of the tax debt or the proposed levy3 - Submit a payment plan - you can submit a payment plan to the IRS to pay off the tax debt over time4 - Submit an Offer In Compromise - if you are unab...

By Kent Brown, Your IRS Tax Attorney
(Strong & Hanni)
Salt Lake City, Utah - I have had few individuals ask me "so, what does a tax attorney do?  What services to you offer that my CPA does not?"  When I have this type of question I usually respond with "tax problems are legal problems and we solve both."  I then tell them what I don't do: Book Keeping Tax Return Preparation - both Federal and State Payroll Taxes - I do not submit 940s, 941s, etc. Forensic Accounting So, what services does a tax attorney offer?  Here are a few: Offers-in-Compromise Installment Agreements Tax Transcript Analysis Tax Lien Resolution Tax Levy Resolution Penalty Abatement Challenging Assessed Taxes IRS Exams Appeals Tax Court Representation Payroll Tax Resolution Sales Tax Resolution State Tax Resolution Criminal Tax Investigations and Prosecutions In buying t...

(Backoffice Squared)
Darren Guillot, Deputy Commissioner, Collections and Operations Support announced on January 20th that the trial policy of allowing installment plans without requiring financial information for tax debts up to $250,000 is now permanent. Why is this a Big Deal? The requirement to provide financial information is no easy task. Most people need professional help with preparing Form 433. Answering a question wrong, such as do you or have had any cryptocurrency transactions, could get you a visit from the Criminal Investigations Division. The ability to simply go to the IRS website and start a payment plan without financial analysis is a big time and money saver for tax debtors.        What’s the Catch? There are a few caveats: This debit limit only applies to individuals and out-of-business so...

When we took on our first renovation project in our historic town, little did we know that within a few years, we would take on another building project. We now own two, beautiful historic buildings and life is never boring. Investing in our town has been truly rewarding.Today, however, things have really gotten interesting. Taylor Sheridan, the famous producer of Yellowstone, 1883, and 1923, Tulsa Kings, and many more, owns land in our area. Because of this, his production team has been scouting out buildings on our Square to be used in upcoming episodes. We received a call that they have chosen one of our buildings for filming. How F U N is that??? It will be an experience to go through this process. We will be discussing contracts, filming specifics, timeframes, etc. I shall keep you...
