I don't have a blogging strategy these days.  I ponder, therefore I am.  In earlier days, there were market reports, listings shared along with updates and other realty miscellany.  My involvement with ActiveRain, like life, continues to evolve.

More than one platform and purpose makes it round robin rotation for starters. Then the time of year pertinent and the theme for more than one part series comes into consideration to drill down into a topic sufficiently. Then like a news story, doubling back to add to the real estate market reports to keep them fresh is another consideration. Right now Bob Crane  in the background hunt and pecking a nothing to do with real estate piece to feed the just for fun Me In Maine. Always have more than one blog post started and on the bench to add to...like casseroles made on a Sunday to pull out and warm up as a single parent during the busy week of juggling ahead.

I have a blogger who blogs on my website. She Sends me a recap of what she did each month and where it was posted. She also asks what I'd like to see for the upcoming month. I send her photos or info if necessary. I also have a social media manager and we meet every other month to discuss what we want. I do my own blogging on AR and that is as time allows. So, I could use a better plan for AR.

Of all the best-laid plans Bob Crane - I have a schedule.  Now, that said, there are times I get so busy with the new business that blogging does not happen. It eventually gets done but I do play catch up from time to time.  I am doing that right now.

I generally pick out 1 major focus project for a month (e.g. ebook, email, SEO old posts, FB ads, etc.).  Over the last 6 months, I've basically just done 1 artcile per month.

Starting i January, I'm going to farm out more to my VA so we do 2 per month.

 

Oh and I generally just do SEO + pinterest (none of the rest) and that enables me to get over 500,000 pv/month

It would be smart to have a plan - it would surely save a lot of time. I just haven't ever done that. My blogging is reflective of things I've recently instructed clients, researched for clients or read. So, I may have difficulty going from a plan!
