I find it is a different business model and frankly I don't judgeI just do my job and sometimes pick up the slack from the other side.

There are limited agency brokerages out there that cause our buyer's agent to do the job of both selling and listing agent.  However, if the property works for the buyer, it is worth the added work.

I haven't had an experience with this type of brokerage, yet. But I would still do what I need to do to make the transaction happen.

  Much of the time, even so-called "full service agents" don't do the work they should.  Sometimes because they are new and don't have a clue; other times because they just don't fulfill their obligations.  I know that going into the transaction, so I deal with it.

There are many different types of business models. Why are you generalizing about the people? Why are you asking this anonymously? 

Seem a few of them but never dealt with them and I would image so.

We have one of those here, they dont do much and their clients claim to be fsbo's.

Oh like Redfin? I think the quality of their agents is really bad. Had my fathers house sold a few years ago & it was horrible. Different person showed up for each part of the transaction & none really knew what was going on. I felt sorry for the buyer - he was not getting represented but wow, he sure got that rebate.

You get what you pay for. It's not a question of doing the work they should do... it's a business model that for discounting the fees doesn't provide many services.

It all depends on the agent involved quite frankly.

Ahh, discount brokers- the scourge of the real estate business. To be avoided at all costs. 

That's why they can discount, because they don't offer the same level of service. Clients pay extra for additional services.  Unfortunately, in many cases, this requires the agent on the other side to do more than they should.

I just do my best to get the deal done and closed whatever it takes. 

It does happen  but I have had some great referrals from people who's agents do not pull their weight or don't show up at closing

I do whatever I need to do to make things happen.  I watch out for the best interests of my client... An agent that doesn't do what they need to do... won't be an agent that long...

I find that agencies of all business models have agents that are all across the spectrum.

Very FEW agents do as much work as they should.

There are many business formats. Do what is best for your personal success.

I find it quite often. I do not think conumser know what they are in for and do not realize the services they wont get by trying to save money. Many often lose more than they save in the end. I try to write about many of these exact situations an share so other sellers can avoid this exact problem
