We are seeing some of their holdings going on the market. As Landlords Blackstone is not that great in our area.

I remember the good old days when everyone were  blaming Obama. Oh wait......... they still do..... As far as the question,  I'm sure they are fine.

Blackstone is doing well.  They spun off their rentals into "Invitation Homes" a while back (at least out here in Cali).  Their investments are now elsewhere and not so much in the day to day operation of rentals.

I suspect however, that the issues with saw with "mortgage backed securities" in 2008 will occur again with the "rental backed securities."  Same poison, different name.

You know I sometimes wonder. We see them come up always as the black sheep listing - they are way over market between $200-$1000 per month. They look like they are in good shape, rehabbed, etc but they are up there in the stratosphere.

I don't follow rentals per se so it's hard to tell.

If they put some money away and didn't leverage (no equity) to the hilt they should be fine using this point: People need a place to stay. Perhaps their worse case is to liquidate a few homes for quick cash? Problems of the rich

Probably both can afford it and blaming Trump!

I think that they have the financial strength to survive. Unlike an individual who may be out of work and relying in the income from his/her rental property to make make ends meet.

Astute investors survive and thrive.

Is it bad to hope they learn a lesson of economics?

I think they made an incredible decision financially.

Neither one have ever been on my radar Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 but needless to say any landlord, large of small, is going to get screwed with the current situation.

I have not given that any thought.
