Consistency matters most.  Hit and miss is not a good strategy.  In real estate or in direct mail.

What days?  OMG every day except Sunday our box is full of junk mail. Does it make it in the house?  No. We're sick of it all, especially all the political stuff.

the majority of postcards are tossed...those who want a CMA now, call...those who think they may need one in the future will save the card(s)..some have shown us a dozen of them!!!!

I want them to arrive on Saturdays, typically...and I prefer mid-month but, sometimes it's not ready until the third or fourth Saturday in the month.

On Tuesday, the mail box and trash bin are adjacent.

Nice to know, but I have no control over when the USPS chooses to put my junk into the citizens mailbox. So 'timeing' is futile.

Yes, on Wednesdays I take to the PO. I get the most mail on the weekends which I do not read.

You have little control over the day it gets delivered.  If you mail first class (expensive), it is usually delivered the next day.  But if you are mailing bulk, it is harder to predict.  It might be 1-2 days.  It might be 1-2 weeks.  

The post office tags certain bulk mail (like polticial mail) to deliver it timely.  But to my knowledge, there is no tag for real estate farming type of mail.

The people who are interested and will read it will read it regarldess of whether it arrives on Wednesay or Saturday.  The people who will throw it away without looking at it are going to throw it away whether it's Wednesday or Friday.

Never mail out at year end.  Do it after first of the year.

When they are done, they get mailed, no matter what day it is.

Best to go out on Saturday that people have them on Tuesday!

I did NOT Peter Mohylsky but I openly admitt that I was NOT successful with mailing, at least farming/mailing.

I mail when ready to mail.  

Any day mid-month is good. The USPS will deliver in a day or two or three or so. If the recipient is interested, good. If not, it does not matter when they receive it, it is still junk mail to them.

I preferred Tuesday mailings for delivery on Wednesday or Thursday. It just worked for me.

My mailings are so infrequent that I would not know what day I last sent one out.

Tuesdays here, and they all go into the trash can.  The majority are printed on cheap newsprint!  I do notice the quality ones.  A
