Karen Climer owns and teaches at Demetree School of Real Estate. A native of Orlando, Karen grew up in the real estate school business. Her mother owned the original Demetree School of Real Estate in the 1980s and 1990s. Her father owned Climer School of Real Estate until 2014. You might even say that Karen was born to do this.

Karen’s own experience in real estate began nearly 20 years ago and includes timeshare sales, recruiting, commercial property management, but mostly real estate instruction.  She is also an active real estate broker in Florida.

A respected speaker and trainer, Karen has presented at the Real Estate Educators Association National Conference and has updated and reviewed well-known real estate textbooks. Karen is licensed to teach real estate in Florida and New York. She has developed a reputation for explaining material in terms that students understand and enjoy.

Karen has always been an active participant in her community. She currently serves on the Orlando Code Enforcement Board.  She is a past member of the Orange County Children and Family Services board, and past chair of the Orlando Police Department Citizens Review Board and past chair of the Orange County Arts and Culture Council. She was featured in the “Someone You Should Know” column of Central Florida Lifestyle.

Karen holds a bachelor of music from the University of Alabama and an MBA from Rollins College.
