You can friend, delete, bounce and black list your emails. The software is called MailWasher Pro. I believe it is free for one email address and there is a cost to monitor more than one.

The best for my use is Unroll.me. It is only for Gmail and Yahoo mail. I use Gmail for business and it allows you to unsybscribe, keep in inbox, or add to a magazine like format that comes in once a day. No cost.

Out of all my email accounts, I am very impressed at gmails ability to filter out the spam.

No Paul that is not an easy one.

Paul, I feel your pain!  I had a gazillion of the stupid things in my box yesterday.  And somehow ActiveRain cleared them out of my inbox here.  And my Apple email was pretty easy to clean up.  But it was a little scary when you think about how much spam got through. 

 Not yet, but will see what others have to say. I go through spam every day and delete, while keeping any messages I need that may have strayed into that folder

No I have to routinely check my spam and junk files to see if something important got filtered out. It doesn't take but a moment to do.

The only one I know is to "disconnect".

I'm not sure if there is a perfect spam filter.

I wish, I wish, I wish so I just ignore junk aka spam. 

I make sure that I block the sends and domains of the spam sent to me.  That helps avoid repeat offenders.

I have two emails - one for business, one for social media, builders, lenders, title.... still get a lot of spam, but doesn't take long to delete.

No perfect filter.  I check my spam 3-4 times a day when there is only s few there.  If I am waiting for a contract to come in I will then check more often

Gmail does a pretty good job. I clean out my email every day.

I wish, Paul. I've sent emails to myself that land in spam! I get emails marked spam into my in-box and emails from clients who've been emailing me since the year dot suddenly going into spam! I've given up trying to figure this out. Just very careful about deleting spam folder items till I've check them.

Gmail works well for me.  I get very little spam in my inbox.

Change your critical eMail.... Critical vs discretionary eMail.

No SPAM here. Our filters are set up to weed out the most common SPAM keywords. It's very easy to do with Apple mail. It's very rare that a legitimate email ends up in the trash.
