I've used the wooden posts, the metal and this one, which always gave the best results!
It is from Lincoln Lawn, snaps together in an instant and is weather durable. I'm going back to this in the Spring. My husband does my signs and I'm not paying him $25 !!!

I like to use post signs and pay a service whenever feasible. There are some communities that have special sign requirements that make posts impossible and some listings don't stay on the market long enough to get the post installed. I usually put out a metal sign first until the post arrives.

$25 is really cheap... I'd probably use under those circumstance. I have large metal framed signs which I install and remove myself.

we have no such company here and I used metal framed ones. Plus we use much larger signs on the dock 3 feet x 4 feet so they can be seen from far away on the lake

I use a service which checks with the gas, cable and electric companies prior to planting my sign posts. I think post signs are classier than the stick in the ground folding types. If im in an area where i cannot use post signs I will use the stick in the ground type.

absolutely its worth it - with one caveat: Make sure that they are licensedand bonded in the event that they accidently break an underground power/gas line etc. But I use this service all the time. I dont have to haul around the signs and post hole digger in my car.

I hire a company to install the sign post. It's $48 for up to 90 days and $5.00 a month thereafter. The company will install my signs as well but I prefer to do that.

VERY good deal. My sign company charges 85/hour.
We have small and large metal framed signs, and big to bigger wood post signs, depending on where they're going. I have these idiotic 18 x 24 signs required by a couple of subdivisions.

I've used a service for years. I pay $28 each way & it's worth it. I just thru all the metal signs out because I could never get them into the ground. These guys pop by in their truck & 1,2,3 it's done. If post shows dents, they paint it too.
They store the panels for me, I keep one for a spare.

I believe the price is driven by the state and area that you are licensed in.
California $25.00 would be a steal of a deal price. The company that I work for uses a company that install our signs.

I use a sign post service. Will continue to do so as long as they continue with wooden posts. Also if elevated visiblity is a necessity.
Metal frame is used based on:
