I don't think the spammers care if they sell anything. I think they are getting paid per post.

Debbie Gartner - I was trying to figure a point to them, did not think that the backlinks would help them with Google. After you mentioned it the format they post in is for those illegal torrent download movies/tv shows stuff so now it's adding up.

No, of course not.  But, unfortunately, the links are "do follow" so they are getting google juice.  I hope these are eliminated quickly.

I just don't get it. I guess spamming must work, or there wouldn't be people doing it, but I'm not going to bite on what they have to offer.

Movie spammers?  I missed something...okay, I just scrolled down and you are right, they are out here.  We need a way to report them...

Of course not but there is a portal that is allowing them in. I expect to see a real change coming to the Q & A to keep them out and Q & A content off the home page.

Who knows.  I got some points the other day for reporting them.

Gary Mellott - AR tried captcha codes a few years ago but removed it due to a high volume of complaints from users. 

Most often from out of the country their sole purpose is post thier links in every q and a page there is. Dont click on them, remove them promptly and they dont come back. Leaving them up all night and now into the morning doesnt help us, the users. If i wanted spam, i would log on T

This is the first time I've seen the movie spammers and I reported them, Captain Wayne. But your question is well taken--why do they think they'll make a sale here?
