No, but I do secretly search the MLS and see how many homes the agent sold last year. Mostly curiousity.

Absolutely not,,,,,they honestly do not mean that much. E-pro designation....seriously I can name 20 people on Active rain that know more about it than E-pro. Designations are just another sales gimmick.

No. A designation is a series of courses. It doesn't change who they are or affect the intersonal skills.

No difference. There are people who have taken and passed classes who have difficulty with real life real estate transactions, ethics, etc.
There are also people with or without the designations who are terrific.
For me, it's all about the individual and how they conduct themselves.

Hi Jesse -- I treat every agent with respect in anticipation that they will act in a professional manner. Of course, if things should go south -- I'm going to be laser-focused on making sure the t's are crossed and i's dotted to protect my client.
Designations are nice and I can appreciate the extra training and dedication that can go in to earning them but they don't always equate to being a better agent.

I've met a number of dummies with college degrees. Bill Gates is a college dropout.

My market is so rural. I know all of the agents. I'm good friends with several of them. So I don't look at the designations. In larger markets, I have heard that agents do that.

NO!...I have seen an agent with stacks of designations and not really know what they were doing and then an agent with none, that I wish I could work with on every deal.
