Yes, you heard that right!  We thought it would never happen, but the FHA actually AGREED that investor/flippers are doing a GOOD WORK towards promoting home ownership, and should be encouraged! Here's the link: http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/waivpropflip2010.pdf FHA likes the idea of investors who can buy shoddy houses & rehab them, then re-sell at an affordable price to home buyers.  They (finally) concede that fixing up and doing a "quick turn" can HELP the economy.... Hope the title companies agree with this also! What does this mean?  More FHA buyers!!!  Hooray for home owners. (Be sure to read the article as there are some restrictions.) The La Jolla real estate market is one of the most expensive in San Diego County. A visit to La Jolla on-line, or better yet in real life, will quickly give you a good sense of why this is so. La Jolla, "The Jewel," is an extraordinarily beautiful coastal community with many homes offering fabulous views of the ocean from the hills, and a trendy, very up-scale village offering the finest in shopping and dining. La Jolla has often been compared to the French and Italian Rivieras with wonderful ocean and coastline vistas from the hills, amazing homes, beautiful architecture, and a terrific year-round climate, attracting visitors from around the world.   Last night I was walking the dogs in my neighborhood (they were really walking me) and just couldn't help myself from taking these pictures. Before almost getting ran over by a dog named Rescue carrying his leash, I snapped a few shots. I love this time of year because the sunsets are so vibrant and colorful! The deep red, orange, and green at the very end. If you look on of the pictures you can see a little island peaking out (this is the Coronado Islands (Mexico) and is where some Orca Wales were spotted migrating last week....totally amazing! I will be blogging more about the wales in another blog because this was such a rare event. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
