If it's someone I may do business with, I will photograph the card with my smart phone, then put it into contacts.

I only have business cards because they were given to me when I joined the Brokerage. We are required to leave cards when showing homes but I rarely work with Buyers so I still have a large supply.
Rarely do we ask for cards up here; we are more likely to share contact info on our phones. We sort of giggle when someone wants to give their card - it usually means they're new in their business and so very proud to have a card, lol. Different strokes for different folks in different markets 🇨🇦

I do have a business card and I do hand them out. When someone asks me for a stack, I share. I've had clients ask for a stack as well as other members of the Chamber of Commerce. That's really the only time I give out a stack of them.
I don't collect business cards. If someone gives me their card and I want their contact information, I enter them into my database and throw away the card. If I don't want their contact information, I simply throw away the card!

Yes, I have a business card
No I don't hand them out in large quantities; I only hand them out in appropriate situations.
Not sure what you mean by "collecting" cards. I take cards from people/businesses I'm interested in and put them into my CMA. Then I toss the card. Whether I market to someone depends on who it is and if it's appropriate to do so. I am the recipient of lots of unsolicited marketing and really don't appreciate it.

Well Peter yes I used to hand them out at chamber events. But never a frenzied thing to do like some people do. I typically would connect with one to 4 people that I found interesting and have more indepth conversation that led to follow ups. Now.....not much going on in person.

No. They are there for the taking at open houses. I hand them out when networking, depending on the venue/event/whom I'm talking to, etc.

If there is a good use for that person's services, I have a container on my desk where the card goes. If it's someone I refer out regularly, they get input into a text file specific to their service so it's easy to copy & paste their info into an email/text.

1. Have business card? Yes. Multipe cards.
2. Spam with cards? Not unless attending a spamming event.
3. I prefer they scan the code on the back of my card to obtian my contact data.
4. I am always open to receiving cards that contains contact information.
5. What do I do with it? The card was given to me becuase there exists a perception of benefit. There is expectation I will follow up. Failure to do so establishes precedence of future performance.
In my CRM with the 77 year drip campaigns, I have the abiilty to define the campaign. Some are buyers and sellers who have accute real estate interests. Some are business owners who see colloration as beneficial. And still others live within the celebration of the "Things Made' mindset.
Each of these will engage and be loyal IF the communcation is relevant and aligns with their need. I say this is a demonstration of RESPECT to those who trusted me with their contact data. Hell yes I keep the communication conduit well exercised...by automaton of course.
This is why I beleive it important for a real estate agent to have multiple interests and for the agent to create resources from which others can bnefit.

A box of business cards last me much longer than it used to.
I used to collect cards and file then so that I could find the contact information that I needed. Now, the information goes into my Outlook contacts and the card, if that was the source rather than an email signature or some other origin, the card is tossed.
I leave a card when I show a house.
At our listings, we are not supposed to make flyers or cards available. All info is available on-line, anyway, and it was most likely on-line that the buyers found out about the listing.

As with most things, I probably give more than I get.
This year has been an exception, have not handed out more than a few since March.
