Yes, yes. I like to know generally where it is located without having to get my GPS out or mapping tool. Then when it is time to show I want to know how to arrange my showings by location.

Absolutely. On my listings, I always double-check and drive the route to make sure it's the most efficient and/or scenic. When I'm working with buyers, I always review the map for nearby points of interest, and generally use my GPS to get there.

Yes.  I see all the time "use GPS" and that is ust not helpful.  Although I will use my GPS to get there, written directions gives me an idea of where the property is.  No putting in directions is a shortcut and seems lazy.

I think you should, especially for remote listings, but most put dumb directions in.  Sometimes GPSs don't always get you where you need to go.

Though having directions for some places difficult to find is desirable.

It's a requirement to have cross streets and basic directions in our MLS.  A holdover from the dark days before every phone had a GPS.

Jenna- explicit directions are important.  A GPS is not failproof.

I put in directions in every listing, I definitely want the agents to find the home! 

It's a required field in our MLS -- you can find every different quality of remarks ranging from very specific and excellent directions to "Google It".   

Showing that I provide quality information to other agents as well as the public is never a bad idea. 

Definitely should be there and even more importantly when it's confusing. GPS does not always hit it accurately. Telling up to use Google Maps or Mapquest is just lazy. Don'y you want to make the home as easy to show as possible?

Are you asking if we should input or follow them? Input, yes... follow, not so much as I've come across some very bad directions in the past.

Yes absolutely! If they can't find the house, they can't show it!

Yes. GPS isn't always acurate, some aren't updated, some don't contain new roads, some send people to wrong area, some areas don't have service, many agents do not have or use GPS.

Definately a 100% MUST if you want agents and buyers to find your listing. Typing check GPS is unacceptable

We enter a map grid and users can also look at the Bing maps integrated with the MLS.  Alternatively, they can go to their favourite online or offline mapping tool to get or manually determine directions.

directions may be overkill, but making sure the address is correct and that it shows up in the correct place on the map is an essential that many miss on.

Jenna - It is a requirement for our MLS, so no options here. I don't think it is a bad idea.

Helps in our area plus..  when I'm looking for a buyer the good directions give me markers / locations. I find it helpful.

Only in the private remarks for agents. My clients don't want a bunch of lookie-loos.

I do not add it. Everyone has a GPS these days and my mls has map that is very easy to use.
