September Sales Activity Report for Richardson, TX

Richardson continues to do a little better than the Dallas/Ft. Worth area with sales only down by 16%. The average sales price rose by 13% while the median sales price declined by 1%. These numbers continue to indicate that the first time buyers are still out of the market and that the sales are concentrated in the upper price ranges. The number of new listings declined by 8% but the number of active listings were up by 90% from the same time last year. there is currently a 5.8 months supply on the market. Of course, if you are a buyer this is great news because you have so many more homes to choose from! The pending sales number was down by 37% and this does not bode well for next month.
