Huntington Beach's 'Fish Camp' is Yummy  We drove to the beach to celebrate Mother's Day. The day was not as pretty as I thought it would be since the wind was blowing the sand up across the highway and it seemed like everyone on the beach was packing up to leave.  We stopped in at one of our favorite places in Huntington Beach called "Fish Camp". I had shrimp and scallops and it was delicious.   Instead of walking on the beach, we drove to the Queen Mary and snapped a photo.   FISH CAMP Restaurant   16600 PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92649. 11am - 9pm.  (562) 592-CAMP (2267) Thanks for stopping by......

Good Periodontal Care is Important for you Dogs and Cats  Did you know that regularly brushing your dog's teeth and providing your pet with a healthy diet and plenty of chew toys can go a long way toward keeping her mouth healthy? Many pooches show signs of gum disease by the time they're four years old because they aren't provided with proper mouth care—and bad breath is often the first sign of a problem. Give your dog regular home checks and follow the tips below, and you'll have a very contented pooch with a dazzling smile. 1. The Breath Test Sniff your dog's breath. Not a field of lilies? That's okay—normal doggie-breath isn't particularly fresh-smelling. However, if his breath is bad and is accompanied by a loss of appetite, vomiting or excessive drinking or urinating, it's a good...

How To Survive the Drought There are many water saving ideas at the home improvement stores. Whether or not you want to take on a project inside or out, any water saving devices will save you money. Many homeowners in my area are removing their grass and putting rocks or artificial turf down. It is amazing how it really looks like grass and cleans up nicely with a hose. Not even the dogs who walk by know it is not real. According to the above chart over half the water usage is from outside but taking long showers is another big expense. Perhaps shorten the shower to half the time.  Thanks for Reading my Blog

Starfish - A Special Meaning At Christmas time, the organization I belong to, Women's Council of REALTORS®, had a luncheon and invited Heidi Mayer of YOUTH HOPE to come. 18 Real Estate Professionals had brought bags of new, warm clothing for the "Homeless Teens" that Heidi takes care of. The Youth Hope kids had made Christmas ornaments with the starfish and attached a poem. Here is the poem: Just remember your single actions can save someone. You cannot save everyone but you can save a few. Get involved, pay it forward to others  and make a difference. Your actions can also show others that they should get involved too.  The same goes with your business too. You cannot get all the listings but your hard work will pay off and you will get your share of them. "Hard Work" pays off. Thanks ...

Do You Celebrate St.Patrick's Day? History The Day of the Festival of Patrick is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on 17 March every year. It is named after Saint Patrick (AD 385–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. Today St. Patrick's Day is celebrated across the world with Cornbeef & Cabbage and Green Ale. Many Americans came from Ireland so this holiday is just second to Christmas. I am proud to be Irish! ASICS LA Marathon - From the Stadium to the Sea This morning I watched the ASICS LA Marathon on TV that started at Doger's Stadium and ended at Santa Monica. It was so exciting and remember the feeling when I used to go the night before and run the marathon myself. Those days are gone with my bad knees now I just walk instead and watch the marathon on TV instead.   This morning the winners were not so clear cut as usual as no one knew for sure until the end who would win. The "Elite Male" group was down from 5 to 3 and then 2. Same with the "Elite Female" group who started with 5 and then was down to three but one took the lead and she never let anyone pass her again. It was neck and neck and spectators thought the Ethopian male runner might pass up the female but no way as she came in ...
