Back in the day when Prop 203 had just passed and EVERYONE fancied themself the next dispensary millionaire, we were overrun with folks wanting to tie up multiple retail locations to hedge their bets with the State who was only giving out 27 licenses originally. We turned those away. Not opposing medicinal legalization, but I didn't want to hear they got raided by the Feds down the line.

I remember an application I got 30 years ago. It was a well-to do lawyer who as looking to purchase a brand new Mercedes. He had the income, credit report was perfect, except for his $300K student loan. He never made a payment on it. I declined the loan, and he was so surprised. He said "but know body pays their student loans" It felt great doing it, even though I knew he would get it somewhere else.
