We had a day of continuing education a few months ago, and most of the classes were taught by local title attorneys. They took really dry stuff and made it fun and interesting. So whatever you are presenting, make it fun and interesting and you'll be a hit.

Can't think of any... usually when a vendor gets involved in teaching a class it becomes a subterfuge for selling a product.

I'm a GA real estate instructor and we have approved topics and each class for CE hours must be state approved. If you are just giving information at a sales meeting and not really conducting a class that's another thing entirely.

We have one coming up from our MLS rep to go over several new changes. Offer value so agents will be glad they attended.

If you give it they will come - you can't please all people all the time.
IMO, give a class, ask for feedback, rinse and repeat until you get the formula

I love the MLS vendor classes. Anyone can learn their MLS through time, but I love digging deeper and learning the cool tricks that save me time and make it easier for me.

Grace Swersey - when TRID was in full force 'coming' I attended a few good classes from our lender.

Take a local survey to see what they want/need to learn. Then, as others have said, they have to be fun to be memorable. Our top instructor here makes learning fun and the classes enjoyable, while others seem to be 'dreaded!'

I would say classes that prevent being sued, legal issues or risk management seem to get the most attendance. Of course new contract releases do as well.

There was one on 1031 tax deferred exchanges that was real good. I tried to put on a class last month where all the title companies came in and talked about their apps. Didn't have enough registrations by the cut-off time... and got 10 the day of.

Grace Swersey Anything related to your product line, but don't sell your product. It will turn off your attendees.

No matter the content, it is how it is presented. It has to be fun and interactive

Hot topic issues of what is happening in the industry. It needs to be presented in a succinct matter. A little humor goes a long way in keeping the attention of the audience.

I don't know.
The need to ask regarding your purpose is overbearing.
Are you simply filling time and space or do you embrace a passion, a fire, a transformational story that will empower others in the walk of life?
If the response is 'Time and space' a good standby is to address where agents waste the most money. They waste the most many by repeatedly 're-introducing' themselves to their target demographic.
In this context, every agent will be a buyer of the message.
Better, Faster, Easier, Cheaper are what people will actually buy and use. New is not.
