I like working with relocation clients. I've relocated a ton in my life and virtually never got good service. It's nice being able to help people move in or out of town feeling like they received the best service and advice possible. Then again, any real estate that provides a commission check is pretty nice too

Ha..ha..ha! Love William Feela's answer! Actually any type of real estate that brings me into contact with clients that are happy when they move into their new home.

In my area we tend to do it all. I have mountain property, farms, homes and commercial listings. I guess I really like doing the residential homes in subdivisions where there aren't any irrigation issues. These seem to be the more cut and dried (easier) transactions to work on in my area.

Mike Thorne luxury homes. I love high end finishes & fixtures, art work, staging, and views.

My favorite is my house because it keeps me warm and cozy during these cold winter nights. From an investment point of view... multi-family units.

Doesn't anybody have niche anymore?
Every successful real estate agent I know specializes in something and their clients know it. They're the first to get a call whether it's for a golf course home, equestrian property, vacation home, or a high end luxury home.

1. Unoccupied! Why not needed.
2. Waterfront! Self explanatory.
3. A 4/3/3 block constructed pool home in the Palm Harbor University High School District. Why? It will generate 9 AAA clients.

Mike Thorne residential - single family homes and condos to be specific. Most my clients want to buy or sell that.

That is a tough decision - relocation buyers probably. They come in for a week, we work very hard to locate a suitable property, hopefully write on one and do the inspection. Love selling new construction and listing homes too.

What is your favorite, Mike Thorne?

Mike,
It is hard to call favorite. Commercial, luxury and 1st time buyers would probably be in the top 3.

Formerly worked with a wholesaler, so I know how to slice and dice them with the default/distressed properties. Would like to work more in the retail luxury market. Why? Just love real estate and to expand my knowledge/experience further in a industry related niche.
