I haven't.
You might want to listen to Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland -- she has a weekly(Sundays) radio show and you can also listen to it on podcast at www.wcbm.com.

Radio, like television has suffered from technology diffusion. With the advent of satellite radio without commericals along with the TV ossue that we all DVR to go past the commercials, marketers our size are wasting there money with a poor ROI to show for it.

I have my own radio show called All About Real Estate. For me it is a fabulous tool to keep my pipeline full, give information and promote my properties. Do not think occasional ads on the radio work. You need to build trust and that takes time, effort and dedication.

When we managed a brokerage just when the IDX came on line, we did have a radio show that was really successful. By that I mean that the dollars spent brought in actually dollars to justify the cost. A

We have done both radio and Tv ads at different times. They were a waste of money.

One of my realtor friends did a 15 minute radio question and answer session with the DJ with call in questions. He got 14 leads that came in to his office to talk about purchasing a home.

Yes and it was expensive (i dont remember the exact cost) I probably did not run it long enough. I just didn't get any calls from it.
I tend to see more value in marketing that targets people that I know are looking to buy and sell.
It may be a viable piece of your marketing depending on your area. My business mostly comes from out of local area so it's not something I would do again.

The hard part of radio is to try to guess the timing and the station to reach your audience. My company did it for 6-7 years and I cannot attribute any sales to it. I did help with branding and notoriety. Radio is expensive.

It helped bring about an awareness of the product while having fun. It takes time and seed money for radio spots to produce results.

My old Broker does it and gets one or two listings a year from it; it is a two edged sword as two of the shows are controversial and does cost him business!
