The Boise/Meridian/Nampa Metro areas unemployment has dropped to 8% after a seasonal adjustment. It has dropped for 7 straight months and it's the lowest it has been since Sep 2009, according to the Idaho Dept of Labor.
They also said that businesses hired more than 11,000 new workers for the 3rd straight month and that nearly half of those were new jobs.
The home prices have started to improve as well in the local area, and activity has been great, thanks partially to a very mild winter.
Southwest Idaho is a great place to live and work, and to move or start up a new business.
