Carroll ISD Back to school on August 27th! Well it’s that exciting time of year again when pens and notebooks are put into backpacks, pencils sharpened, books readied for each class, new outfits bought and picked out to be ready for the first day, wanting to look your best.  When kids are bummed summer is over and back to the grind, or nervous about heading back to a new school or a new grade in the Carroll School system.  Carroll Dragon seniors are glad that it’s almost over and about to make this the best year they have ever had. Southlake Fourth of July was a Smash! Good evening, I realized that I haven’t shared my photos from the Fourth of July in the Southlake Town Square!  There are a few up on my Facebook business page(please see link at the bottom of my blog to follow me!) but here are a few more for your viewing pleasure.   Mid-Cities Date Night   Good evening!  I wanted to tell you about how much fun it is to have a Mid-Cities date night in Grapevine and Southlake.  This is our third date night since our son was born almost 2 years ago and to be honest, we needed it.  When we moved here we didn’t know anyone and had our second date night only when we had family come down to visit us. Finding a local bank in Mid-Cities DFW If you aren’t already banking at a national chain bank or even a sole online system then you are going to need to find a local branch to transfer your accounts towhen you move to the Mid-Cities area.  When we first moved here, our local credit union that we had been with for over 4 years didn’t have any branches here in Texas.  They were a wonderful small town bank that you could walk into and people knew you by name.    Once we were here we researched several banks that were local to the house and had a few branches. Relocating to DFW Texas “We Weren’t Born Here But We Got Here As Fast As We Could”   Moving your service for your dish provider is pretty simple. Make sure you call them  a week or two prior to your move to set up your change of service date.  They will send out a technician to install the new dish and get everything up and running again.   One thing that I wish someone had told me when we relocated was that all your favorite shows that you have set up to record WILL be different when you relocate here to the DFW.  Those recorded channels and times will not be the same ones and you will need to change your options for each show and find what channels they are now on for this area and your dish provider.  We didn’t discover this for nearly 2 weeks and were curious why our shows hadn’t be... 07/07/2012

Who’s ready for fireworks???   Southlake There will be fireworks and fun at the Southlake Town Square next week. The Stars and Stripes celebration takes place in Southlake Texas on Tuesday July 3, at 6 pm. The fun includes vendors and bands, along with concession stands with some local munchies.  Entertainment includes jugglers, balloon animals, and magicians for the kids.    You are allowed to set up chairs and blankets to stake out your spot for the fireworks show that starts at 9:30, but you can’t start setting up until 7pm.  Make sure you leave the alcohol and glass containers at home, and consider leaving your pets home also with some music or tv in the background if they scare easily from the booming.  Animals are sensitive to firework sounds and should be in a secure area.  It is... 06/29/2012

For the year to date, overall home sales were at 77 homes sold, a 20% change from last year. Southlake Texas Real Estate total dollar volume of homes sold this month was $21,840,660 which is a 25% change from this month last year. I got my attitude adjusted at Gingerine Fresh Asian in Southlake Texas Don't you love when you stumble upon something great, simply by accident? That's what happened to me tonight. Hun and I were out just driving around when I decided I wanted to go to Steak and Shake in Southlake. Because you don't know Hun and me, you don't see how very strange that really is. He isn't a fast food kind of guy, although I do partake now and then.
