It's Mother's Day and I've won the lottery! -- McKinney Texas Mother's Day is tomorrow and I have to say I'm feeling the love!  Since becoming a mother 14 years ago, and then again 12 years ago, and again 10 years ago, Mother's Day is my all-time favorite holiday of the year!    When I was a kid the holidays that I looked forward to the most were Christmas (surprised?) followed closely by Halloween, the biggest candy haul of the year.  Mother's Day was a nice day and my very thoughtful, loving mother was more than deserving of some special attention -- but the day also involved being on my best behavior (a self-imposed rule, not something my mom ever insisted on) and focusing on what my mom liked, and there was never a big pile of candy to celebrate with either.  So, I'm ashamed to admi... 05/08/2010

As part of the effort in bringing an early awareness about bike safety habits to young children, Centennial Montessori Academy - McKinney TX participated in St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Trike-A-Thon safety program. In support of this awareness campaign, school children at Centennial Montessori Academy used coloring sheets and stories to educate their children. As the highlight of the event, the children participated in this fun and educational activity by bringing their own bikes and trikes to school to play during their play time. The Trike-A-Thon took place on April 12th 2010 at the Centennial Montessori Academy's parking lots. The children definitely had fun and so did teachers and parents. First Time Home Buyer tax credits for McKinney   Take advantage of the free money the government is giving away.  If you're a first time home buyer, Uncle Sam will give you up to $8,000 in a tax credit when you buy a new house.  That's certainly enough to cover your closing costs and a portion of your down payment.   If you have not owned a house in the last three years, you are considered a first time home buyer.  If the house you choose to purchase costs less than $80,000 you will only receive 10% of the purchase price.  However, for houses that cost more than $80,000 you will receive the full $8,000 tax credit.   This a great opportunity and time is running short!  You need to have your house under contract by April 30th and you must close on the house on or before June 30th.   SIMIL... 04/10/2010
