This area is now primarily commercial and a part of ‘Midtown’ Oklahoma City. The MIDTOWN area was developed in the early 20th century with a mix of uses including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional. For decades, the area thrived as Oklahoma City continued to grow automobile centric. However, when Oklahoma City began to grow away from its central beginnings and longtime residents and businesses migrated outward, the MIDTOWN area began to deteriorate. Anyone who's been reading the past couple of weeks knows that I had a big open house event planned for the past weekend. I want to personally thank everyone who came out to tour this beautiful 100 year-old home. It was a huge success and we got some wonderful feedback from the 36 families who visited us. In fact, several of our visitors expressed that this home is nicer than anything they saw at the Heritage Hills Historic Homes & Gardens Tour.
