We have lived in Amherst for over 15 years and just love the character of the town...with access to shopping and most anything you need within minutes, yet it maintains its rural and country feel. We hear it everyday, there is an abundant supply of NH homes and properties, prices are down, sellers are motivated and interest rates are low... Case notes that four years ago, the monthly payment on a $300,000 house with 20 percent down and a mortgage rate of 6.6 percent was $1,533.
