Thomasville Candlelight Vigil The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence first observed a Day of Unity in support of the victims of domestic violence back in October of 1981. Now, 32 years later, the entire month of October has officially been declared National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To mark the occasion and show support for those affected, a silent march and Thomasville candlelight vigil will be held this Thursday, October 17th.
