  I've got so MUCH to be thankful about this week, I'm about to burst!!! Many of you may know my daughter, Sarah, struggles with Muscular Dystrophy. I am a big supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and they are coming to "lock me up" December 10th. It's a way to raise money for the association and it really helps. Well, a local online newspaper for Coral Springs wrote an article on the event and we are getting all kinds of support! My daughter and I are thrilled! It's hard to believe while looking outside a window in sunny South Florida that it is hurricane season. But the truth of the matter is, a hurricane can sneak up in a day! The city of Coral Springs urges tree owners to prune and cut back any loose branches and discard right away. Believe it or not, a tree limb can be a dangerous object when caught up in the winds of a hurricane. Have your regular landscaper come out and evaluate your landscaping to see if there are any trees that need pruning or cut down all together. A falling tree can cause serious damage to your home or you and anybody else that might be in this harms way. Positive Press Surges for Reverse Mortgages During June The recent changes to the reverse mortgage cam swiftly last September 30 and changed the landscape of the reverse mortgage program for future borrowers. One of the biggest hurdles since the changes, however, has been combating the established reputation of the reverse mortgage program as a “loan of last resort,” that should only be used if (and only if) you have no other options. Slowly, but surely, the reputation of the reverse mortgage is on the up and up and, NRMLA reports, the press results for the month of June 2014 are the most positive since August of 2013.
