Do you see the child in the swing? The photo was taken in the Clearwater Florida intercoastal waterway and we were surprised to see this child swinging in the tree on a barrier island.As we looked closer, we realized that it is not a REAL child but somebody decided to have some fun and put a life size doll up there in that swing. Day trips are so much fun and yesterday we took another day trip to Stump Pass State Park just south of Englewood Florida.It was really an awesome day! A good breeze was blowing, the sun was out but temperatures did not go above the high 80's and since we left a little after 6 am, we missed all of the morning rush hour traffic!Stump Pass State Park just south of Englewood Florida is one place I would recommend to anyone for a day trip. You can sift the sand for shark's teeth, enjoy a walk either along the beach and past the sun bleached tree stumps or walk the inland trails on the island. It was another great fishing day off Clearwater for Ronnie today. He managed to catch three redfish, one lady fish, a snook, one mangrove snapper and one sheephead. All during the incoming tide. This is a great way to spend the day and relax. He fishes while I handle emails and blog. A great way to spend time together!We also had several manatee go past again today. That was a special treat.As we were getting ready to leave, I went to release the sheephead, which was on a line in the water. Since everything else was just under legal size to keep, there was no sense in keeping this guy. I am glad his teeth are more like molars and not sharp since he bite me - I wasn't watching where I put my fingers! My fault, he was just trying to get free. Lenscrafters has been a great experience thus far. I got my new glasses last week and have had issues with them. When I went in, I explained to the young man that I needed frames that were light and that I have long lashes, so that can be an issue. He assured me that plastic frames were the way to go - not.I picked the new glasses up last Friday. By Saturday, my ear cartilage was killing me. Today I went back in and explained my issue. That plus the fact that I cannot work easily on the computer with the new glasses. Distance and reading are fine but that middle range is not correct. The glasses were WITH the AARP discount over $700 so I expect them to be flawless and Lenscrafters offers a 30 day warranty.The young lady, Veronica, that I dealt with was great this morning. Clearwater Florida has the best fishing! Every time we go out, Ron cannot reel them in fast enough! Today was another perfect example: The day started out with a ladyfish and a trout before we moved to the location that was our pre-set destination. There Ron caught not only a 38 inch snook but several sheephead. Both the snook and sheephead are excellent eating but the snook was too large to keep. The slot for snook is 28 inches to 33 inches and this big boy was over that size.
