Springtime arrives once again and just in time for Easter. What a crazy year this has been so far! We had Spring and then Winter came back with temperatures back in the 40's at night! Now we are going back up into the 80's today and it is Spring once again. My veggie garden is producing wonderfully already. Yesterday we had Romaine salad right out of the garden along with fresh radishes and bell peppers. The melons and cukes are blooming already as well! Well, Fall just started and Ronnie was out in the boat off the coast of Clearwater Florida yesterday looking for snook. As you can tell from the photo, he caught one. The first snook catch of the Fall season. Unfortunately, he had to release it again since you cannot keep any snook caught along the Gulf Coast of Florida this season. That is due to the freeze of a few years ago, when thousands of snook died off. The population needs a chance to recover from that exceptionally cold Winter we had in 2010. According to Ron, they are coming back just fine! He is looking forward to catching plenty more this Fall and I am hoping to join him again next week out on the water.  09/24/2012

Yesterday was another beautiful day on Clearwater IntercoastalWaterway.  Although I had to work, I was working right along the coastline and did get to enjoy the magnificent views of the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the intercoastal. Living down here in our little corner of Paradise is such a pleasure. I cannot imagine ever again living elsewhere! 09/14/2012

Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe on Clearwater Beach here in Florida was our lunch time destination yesterday.  We took the day off to go boating and fishing with friends on the Clearwater intercoastal waterway and rather than packing a picnic lunch, opted for lunch at Frenchy's. There are four Frenchy's restaurants on Clearwater Beach but it is their Saltwater Cafe that lets you tie up your boat so you can come in for lunch. Naturally, we all had grouper sandwiches since they make the BEST grouper sandwiches anywhere. Frenchy's has their own boats, so you know the grouper is fresh and real grouper! If you have not checked out any of the wonderful Frenchy's Restaurants on Clearwater Beach, you don't know what you are missing! They have fantastic food and a great atmosphere! 09/11/2012
