HopeTwo years ago in March, I was the Sales Agent for a lovely couple who were newly weds. They relocated to Texas. At the closing table I gave them an Orchid Plant and a few other gifts. She smiled and said, I had to leave my Orchid behind and this is the perfect gift. She hugged me tightly. We talked about new beginnings and hope. What I did not share at the time is, I needed hope too. So, I went back to the same florist shop and bought myself some hope. It was beautiful until the flowers departed. I kept it and continued to water the plant, hoping one day, I would see Orchids again.Last month, I received a beautiful Valentine's card from my clients' baby. I was so proud to receive it. Babies fill my heart up with love, hope, and joy! Soon, I will be attending baby's first birthday and...

Friday Fun…Bring on the Green! While to my knowledge there is not a drop of Irish blood in me, I love St Patrick’s Day.                       In my young adult days, it meant green beer (which I only sipped) and corned beef and cabbage. Our extended family and friends in Delray Beach were huge on St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Each year we attended the Delray Beach St Patrick’s Day parade.  The Delray Beach St Patrick’s Day Parade n 2016 was special because the Honored Grand Marshalls were World War II Veterans flown in for the event.    So for Friday Fun…if you could have just one of these to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, what would it be??BeerCorned Beef and CabbageShepherd’s PieYou gotta try your luck at least once a day because you could be going around lucky all day and not even kn...

Back in March of 2012 I wrote the following post:Ever wonder why you can create excuses that are seemingly more important than the goals you want to achieve? Are you feeling a bit guilty as you read this? Am I talking to you? Yes. and unfortunately, also me! We are all guilty of allowing ourselves to create excuses, those obstacles in the road trying to prevent us from reaching our goals!Well consider this: "When you remove the fear behind the excuses you want to create, you create the space and confidence to move forward!"Why do we create our own problems in the form of excuses preventing us from getting where we really want to be? It has been years and I still ponder that question daily and am happy to say I have made progress. That said, however, the sad part is that there is still r...

Are you ready to begin living the life you always wanted? Are you ready to enjoy success, happiness, and more? Are you ready to be more confident?  In many ways, we've been raised to believe only what we see. If you can't see it - it's not real - that's what we're taught. The truth is that “When you believe it you’ll see it” and not before. Thus believing is vital to our survival and success. If you could only believe that everything would work out and trust that what you want can and will happen - your life would change in ways you never thought possible. But for some reason - most people can't believe that things will work out for them. They look at past results and judge their future on those results. Believing requires complete trust that everything will work out. That you will do y...

Throwback Thursdays…Yep…I Went Down That Hole It all began with an innocent post from Anna Banana Kruchten Phoenix Broker, inspired by Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400. But it didn’t stop there. I wrote a post about almost going down the hole and then Dorie Dillard Austin TX did go down the hole!!!  I couldn’t resist, so yesterday, I put on my bunny shoes and took the trip down the Hole of Statistics. I decided to see what my most viewed posts were for 2010.  Below are my top 10 posts by # of views from 2010.The number after the date represents the number of views.   What good are stats unless you learn something from them? Of course, these were from 2010 and the activity level here was greater. Six of the ten posts were local posts.  I rarely write them now but I used to write at l...

Years ago I was the managing broker of a large real estate office with a national franchise affiliation. One of my agents listed a condominium with a tenant in place that's intended to be sold to an investor who would continue to lease the unit.Along comes an agent who claims to represent investor interested in the unit. They submit an offer which was rejected. It was communicated to the agent, in writing, that the offer was too low to deserve a counter.Selling agent communicates with his out of state investor that he has a deal! Buyer books passage to Florida with the idea he will inspect the unit and proceed to closing. He arrives to learn the real facts. He sues on the theory our office should reimburse his travel expenses since he was unsuccessful in getting the unit. We go to mediat...

It is rare for me to sit long enough to read a book, as I would rather be up doing something and moving.   BUT, being on vacation in Texas and my friend was reading, I did bring a book with to read and relax.James Patterson - The Murder House BOY, I remember why I don't read much.   THAT is all I would do!   It took me a little over one day, and finished the book, and was REALLY good.   I love James Patterson's book, and this one had me about a quarter of the ways in, and couldn't put it down. I left the book in Texas for my friend, as I think he would enjoy this one too.  He is reading a Grisham book now, and I like his books too.
