Lemon, Avocado, Bucatini & Shrimp pasta dinner... this dinner was inspired, because Diane wanted a break from " Red Sauce so with that said I reached into my cookbooks and found this recipe in one of my favorite cookbooks: "Pasta Modern." Those of you who read my posts know I would end up modifying the recipe to make it my own.Well, I did the short recipe, lemon, lemon zest, shrimp, avocado and lemon juice.My additions, fresh parsley, clam juice, little bit of heavy cream and a lot more wine:). Tuesday’s Treasures…Cherished (and Funny) Conversations My niece, Stephanie, often texts us with funny conversations she and her 6-year-old son, Raffe have.  _____________________________________Stephanie-Raf spent roughly 35 minutes talking to me about the strategy of baseball. Raf pauses then says “Mommy do you have anything to say about baseball?”_______________________________________ I introduced you to him several years ago on a very special day for our family.  Upon his graduation from pre-school, his choice of future profession was a garbage man.  ________________________________________Stephanie- “I have to keep videoing Raffe throwing the pine cone so he can watch the playback and study it.”________________________________________And now, he’s gone all little boy with his love... 04/16/2024

Two years ago today we headed out on our five week cross country road trip. It had been put off a few years prior because we got very busy in real estate and then the following year Covid shut everything down. We were happy to finally get on the road when we did and we have many fond memories of family we visited, friends we reconnected with and the many wonderful landscapes that unfolded in front of us as we traveled this vast country. So much to see, and so much we did not see….five weeks was not enough time!!As I went through the first group of photos I took on the road, I focused in on this leaning tower photo.    In Ocean City there are a number of Italian Pizzerias and Restaurants . We are very lucky to have Express Pizza at the end of our Block . Their pizza is thin crust with all types of Toppings. Their Cheesesteaks are loaded with 10 ouncesof Philly steak . And of course they have Hoagies that are loaded with meat . Theyhave a good selection of Calzones & Stromboli.Burgers , Wraps and salads . BTW - the Mushroom Pizza above was delicious !  04/15/2024

One year later a friend of mine and I decidedto spend the Summer in OC, NJ .Down the Shore , say the Locals.      The owners CB’s decided to open a Restaurant near the Atlantic City Race Track . It would be called the Library III . I became the backup Bar Tenderat age 18-19 ! ( and bus Tables for tips)We worked there for 3 Full Summers .       Today is Called - LB 1 , but is set with the primary menu of Library 3 .They have a Special Oven just to cooktheir Amazing Prime Ribs . Speechless Sunday: Double Done's with a few extras... I have always had extra food to prepare for a later meal. Needless to say, I made baked potatoes and kept them in the fridge for making a different meal.Well today I thought it would be fun to use my left-over baked potatoes as "Double Dones" and add the leftover vegies from the other day to it. Now with that said I needed to have some meat with it as well. Yes our new favorite chicken sausages were added and it was a total success. So with that said what did you have for dinner tonight?
