Please feel free to share on your own timeline!  I met with a home inspector Wednesday morning and he shared a story.  Back around 2014 a roofer was going through The Villages replacing roofs, more than likely unlicensed and uninsured.  To cut corners the roofer never applied for a building permit which is required for roof replacements.  The roofer used substandard shingles and did shabby work.  Fast forward to today, when you sell a home hopefully the Realtor pulls building permits to see what work has been done, no permit, even if the Realtor doesn’t pull permits the home inspector does, no permits.  Now we have a mess and more than likely the current homeowner will have to have a new roof or cut the price drastically as you can’t get a mortgage if you can’t get insurance so only ca...

Let's delve into the wonderful world of North Carolina's spring bulbs and their blooming times: Early Birds (February-March): Crocuses: These cheerful little gems, in purple, yellow, and white, often poke through the snow, signaling the arrival of spring. Expect them to bloom from late February to March in most zones. Grape Hyacinths: Spikes of tiny, fragrant blue or white flowers create charming carpets. Look for them to bloom in late February to March across the state. S...

Ideas for creating an Eclectic Interior with the "Grandmillenial Trend" and Influence. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of decorating many homes with a unique blend of southern charm while incorporating traditional touches.  The past few years there has been a surge in popularity of what is known as the "Grandmillenial" stye.  So what is this all about? The Grandmillenial style or trend embraces nostalgic pieces that your grandmother cherished.   It's not so much of a trend, but a wave of "Grandmillenials" who have an affinity for those stuffy or outdated chintz prints, ruffles, monogram linens, chinoiserie, sterling silver, sparkling crystal, tufting, fringe, antiques, and wicker pieces. In today's fast-paced digital age, there's something undeniably comforting about surrounding...
