Reporting on sales and activity for Wauwatosa Wisconsin for the month ending September 30, 2008.  September sales in Wauwatosa show as 31 closings.  In 2007 data shows 27 sales for the same time period. There are currently 241 active listings in Wauwatosa.  That is 13 months supply on the market.  This indicates we are in a buyers market.  When inventory is at 5 months or less, it is considered a "sellers" market. Sales are up slightly from 2007 - that is a good sign. Building permits across the country are down to just under a million, historically this is an INDICATOR that we have reached the BOTTOM of the market. Governor Jim Doyle announce the appointment of Wauwatosa resident Jose Vasquez to the University of Wisconsin System Board or Regents this week.  His appointment is effective immediately. Jose Vasquez currently serves as chief executive officer of the Felician Sponsored Ministries in Milwaukee and previously worked at the Next Door Foundation - two community based organizations dedicated to providing high quality early childhood education to urban children.\ Jose and his wife Mary live in Wauwatosa.
