This past weekend saw the opening 'Homerun" performances of C-STOCK's (Central Stage Theatre of County Kitsap) musical comedy, "Damn Yankees!" here on the Kitsap Peninsula, in Silverdale, WA.My two sons, Luke and Elliot, and I audtioned back last July and all three of us made the cast! It's been a huge time commitment and tons of work, but we've had a blast hanging out together!Yesterday, our local newspaper, The Kitsap Sun, published a review by their entertainment critic, Michael Moore (there's no relation to the film maker, but he's just as obnoxious). A beautiful home, views of the water, a glorious kitchen, spacious master suite, and this was how the seller was using the living room. You know, the very first room you see when you walk in the front door. Talk about a mixed first impression! It would have made a buyer wonder if this was the living room or the gym or the play room? Another thought could have ran through their head if they got past this room would be, "Why isn't there any furniture in here? What's WRONG? Although Central Kitsap is not a bustling metropolis, it does boast a rather impressive local community theater.My wife introduced me the the Central Stage of County Kitsap (cstock) sometime 2 years ago. She let me know one weekend that she had purchased tickets to an area stage production of the 1940's Radio Hour. I can't say I was overly enthusiastic at the time. My weekends are precious to me and the remote just doesn't work well at a theater. What if I didn't like it? What if it was the typical amaturish conglomeration of local "talent"?
