Shoreline’s Comprehensive Housing Strategy to begin improving housing options/ affordability

The Shoreline City Council adopted a report put out by the Citizen Advisory Committee this last February and in doing so will start to implement some of the many goals they have for the city's housing concerns. There are many different challenges that the city now faces concerning the housing market including home affordability, variety of home choices, and the maintaining of neighborhood character. The demographics of the population are changing and the housing price and type also needs to change with the times. Take for instance the baby-boomer couple who want to downgrade to accommodate their changing needs, or the single mother who can barely afford the rental apartment she is in, or even the young professional like myself who has grown up in Shoreline and have come back to be apart...
