Seattle waterfront homes have one thing in common - they're all incredible. From back porches that provide the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the Olympic Mountains or a personal, backyard dock on Lake Washington, architects went all out when creating these beautiful single-family houses.Built anywhere from the late nineteenth century to today, Seattle waterfront homes come in every size, style, and price. Houses dating back to the early 1900s are still in impeccable condition. These Seattle waterfront homes were built with quality in mind, and have been well-maintained and renovated several times over the century. Thus, castle-like houses overlooking the Puget Sound still stand strong. (They're especially prominent in the Interbay neighborhood.)Similarly, many Seattle waterfront...

New Seattle homes are popping up throughout the city. To accommodate the fastest growth since 1968 (up 1.3% from April 2006 to April 2007), builders are quickly constructing new Seattle homes in almost every neighborhood. There are numerous benefits to buying a new Seattle home rather than an older one. As with any recently-constructed house, new Seattle homes require far fewer repairs than others would. Without having to spend thousands on a new roof, plumbing problems, or putting in new carpet, homeowners can spend their money as they choose. Also, since many houses in Seattle date back to over a century, new Seattle homes are likely to sell for much higher in the coming years. Designers have managed to maintain the same class and charm in their newer homes as is found in older houses,...

Seattle Seafood RestaurantsSeattle seafood restaurants are expected to be the best - it is Seattle after all - and they live up to it. Here are a few, great Seattle seafood restaurants for you to check out.The Oceanaire Seafood Room provides great service and even better food. It is swank in décor in atmosphere, but the staff is always friendly, pleasant, and helpful. The food is delicious; some argue that Oceanaire has the best crab cakes west of the Mississippi, not to mention of all the Seattle seafood restaurants. Entrees and side dishes are served in generous proportions, so you can eat to your heart's content. (You'll definitely want to.)Ray's Boathouse Restaurant offers excellent views to accompany the wonderful meals. Year-round, Ray's is one of the more popular Seattle seafood ...

Seattle Sushi RestaurantsSeattle sushi restaurants offer the finest Japanese cuisine. Located in nearly every Seattle neighborhood, you're never far from delicious Unagi, California Rolls, and more. Here are a few of the many Seattle sushi restaurants worth checking out.Musashi's, located in Wallingford, knows how to serve the best at an affordable price. Foregoing the expensive décor and modern conveniences (including a credit card acceptor), diners can afford to buy a decent amount of the best quality fish for a reasonable amount of money. While not the fanciest of all Seattle sushi restaurants (or even the cheapest, since some restaurants use the cheapest quality of fish) Musashi's has the best deals.Shiki Japanese Restaurant is small, but its excellent sushi brings customers from mi...

Seattle Vegetarian RestaurantsSeattle Vegetarian restaurants are both plentiful and excellent. This should come to no surprise, as Seattle is consistently rated in the Top 3 Most Vegetarian Friendly cities in the nation.Café Flora is one reason Seattle gets on the list. Even non-vegetarians love the food, many mentioning the French Dip and Potato Croquettes. Vegans have plenty of options both at dinner and at brunch. In addition to the gourmet food, the atmosphere is casual. The décor is subtle yet classy, and the service is always friendly. Though slightly pricier than some other Seattle vegetarian restaurants, Café Flora also boasts some of the finest ingredients and most talented cooks. The Araya Vegetarian Place is one of the only Seattle vegetarian restaurants of the Thai variety. Seattle SteakhousesSeattle steakhouses provide something for everyone. From elegant lunches to casual dinners, you can always trust you'll have a great meal at any steakhouse in Seattle. The Metropolitan Grill is legendary. Meals are never described as short of amazing, and the steaks in particular are incredible. The restaurant displays the aging process of the steaks, and yet other restaurants still haven't seemed to adopt the Metropolitan's steak cooking skills. Though suggestive of traditional New York and Chicago steakhouses, this Seattle steakhouse makes the experience its own. Customers should prepare themselves for more elegant dress and pricier (but worth every penny) cuisine.Jak's Grill takes similar care of its food. Located in West Seattle, Jak's is more casual and less well-...

The condo conversion market is continuing to feel the effect of a softening market. In the past few weeks a number of notable conversion projects have taken price reductions ranging from $5,000 up to $30,000 with most of the reductions being around $10,000 to $15,000. Some are offering other incentives for both the buyer (buyer bonuses, free TVs) and their agents (commissions as much as 5%).
