We have had some wild weather this week!! From the wind, to the sun and to the flooding! Since midnight we have had 3.75 INCHES OF RAIN in Bremerton!   I showed or previewed properties on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and when you do it in Kitsap County you can be driving hundreds of miles. I have put over 300 miles on this week alone.    On Tuesday I was previewing for some East Coast relocation clients and was video taping some homes in Port Orchard that they were interested in. After that I headed out to the Seabeck/Lake Symington area to preview for another client.   While I was driving I thought to myself - what an amazing office I have!! Here is part of my day - at least it was one of the sunny ones! Watch My Office in Video Blogs  |  View More Free Videos Online at Veoh.com I do ...

Kitsap County's City of Port Orchard and the Manchester neighborhood within Port Orchard have been the focus of two recent articles published in the Seattle Times. The first article was written by Cindy Jones as a special to The Seattle Times on Saturday, September 29th 2007. The article was published on the front page of the real estate section and discussed a growing interest among buyers interested in homes with waterfront or water views available in the small community of Manchester. Cindy Jones describes the area best... "Just across the Sound --- that sparkling stretch of water that blesses the community with spectacular views --- lies a city teeming with well-heeled dwellers looking for escape."She's right. Many waterfront homes in Port Orchard's Manchester community either sit o...

There was great cause for celebration here last week on the Kitsap County Peninsula in scenic Washington State! 1st Time Home Buyers, TR & Arwen, closed on their home in Port Orchard! This was one of the most fun and rewarding transactions I've had the privilege of being involved in for quite some time! TR & Arwen came over from Hawaii, under orders courtesy of the U.S. Navy. TR just recently made Chief Petty Officer, so it's been a very eventful month for both of them! To read more about the home-buying adventures of TR & Arwen, go to SOUNDBITEBLOG. ~   o   ~   o   ~   o   ~   o   ~   o   ~ Rich Jacobson is a licensed real estate professional providing empowerment and relentless representation for his clients of residential properties and vacant land throughout all of Kitsap County WA ...

I was asked today how the market is doing in my neck of the woods. Actually, I am asked that almost every day. We are coming down off of a fast sellers market, yet our market is very strong. Buyers now have a chance to compare houses before making a decision without feeling like they need to write up an offer without seeing the inside, sellers are still getting more money for their home this year than last although not at the appreciation rate of the last few years, market is still steady enough that sellers don't want to take a contingent deal (I will buy your house if my house sells) ... It's a good market.

Port Orchard, WA - one of the smaller places in Kitsap County. With a relatively small population and its rural setting, it's a beautiful area to settle in or even to own a vacation home in. When you think of Washington, what city comes to mind, Seattle perhaps? Seattle is indeed an important part of Washington. It is actually not far from Port Orchard, just twenty-two miles. Yes, you can drive out of the busy city of Seattle into the quietness and peacefulness of Port Orchard. For this reason alone it is obvious why people are buying up real estate in Port Orchard, WA. In the future, property owners should do very well with their Port Orchard real estate investments. Right now, while much of this great area has not yet been discovered, real estate can be bought for a reasonably fair pr...
