According to an article today on Forbes.com, it appears that the $8000 Federal Housing Tax Credit for First Time Home Buyers is very close to being extended!... With everything else that's been going on out in Washington D.C. of late, i.e. massive debt to bailout Wall Street, dismal 'Cash for Clunkers' program, government take-over of Health Care, indecision on Afghanistan, etc., it's encouraging to see progress on legislation that is truly effective for a change, and makes a difference for taxpayers and the economy. Don't fall into the trap of believing that the sky is falling based on anecdotal reports.  You don't know exactly what's going on within any given company. What it all comes down to is attitude.  Watch yours.  Attitude is more important than you can measure when it comes to becoming a successful real estate agent. Stay away from people who are piling up the negative news on you.  There's enough of it going around.  You don't need to hear any more of it. It is the agent with the best attitude that generally survives and thrives.

I'm sure that there are many avenues of communicating the benefits and this is just one more tool in our toolkit when we are talking with our clients, friends and family. Here is the clip from Port Orchard.  Did you attend a "Tea Party" today?  I was unable to attend but was there in spirit.  I really don't mind paying taxes for the services we are provided but I do mind paying taxes when the government just can't get a handle on spending. My family has had to tighten our budget and so should the country.  I am just so frustrated by the lack of respect that DC has for MainStreet!
