About 2 hours ago I was taking off to run over to Everett and upon walking outside I noticed it was trying to snow. Isn't it supposed to be the first day of Spring? Well it maybe but in Washington just about anything can happen from one day to the next. Washington is the state that invented "Partly Sunny" weather conditions because partly sunny is a nice day :) Well back to the snow...after jumping in the truck I started traveling South on Highway 526 and it was snow pretty good, really wet though, and the temperature was falling pretty sharply. But now it seems to have lightened, for the moment, and warmed up enough to keep rain in its liquid form. It seems that Father Winter isn't leaving with a fight :) Fine by me...maybe I'll hit the mountains to catch some air before its all over.

Roncrest is one of Marysville's older neighborhoods that retains the small town community feel. It mainly comprised of ramblers with single car garages. Most of the homes in the neighborhood have large lots sizes with the homes situated on the front portion of the lot making the back yard plenty big to tossing the football or rough house.Roncrest has great location for families with elementary and middle school age children. Two blocks East lies Cedarcrest Middle School and everyday kids can be seen walking home along the sides of 88th. It also is located near, 5 blocks, Cedarcrest Golf Course on 67th so it no big deal to get on the weekend for a round of golf.

Cedarcrest Golf Course is City of Marysville's Municipal course as well as the oldest golf course in Snohomish County. That is pretty amazing because it looks so great. In 1997, just after I graduated high school, Cedarcrest Golf Course went through a major reconstruction phases that updated the course as well as redid all the greens and fairways.I have been playing there for most of my life and it never gets any easier but all in all it isn't to hard either. Ryan Noback has hosted the Jerry Noback Memorial Golf Tournament their with all the proceeds going to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. If you would like more information on rates and contact information please visit the Cedarcrest Golf Course page.

Tuscany is located on Getchell in Hill and considered part of the greater Getchell Neighborhood according the City of Marysville's Comprehensive Plan. It is moderately sized neighborhood with many different styles of homes which include ramblers, split levels and two stories. It was built predominately by Harbor Homes and Belmark with some smaller builders filling in here and there. During prohibition moon shiners made there special brew and made the greatest effort to keep it out of sight. What would Marysville be without a little moon shine history? Well in those days the East Hill of Marysville received the name Whiskey Ridge from the moon shine era. It has long since changed from the time but there was a rumor going around, when I was a senior in high school, 1996, that when the hill was cleared old stills where found. So the moon shiners really did make their brew there.Yesterday, when taking pictures, there were children playing basketball and tossing a baseball around. It gave me a big smile to see all the kids out playing and it made me think back to when I was a young tike. Moving on, Whiskey Ridge is comprised of both two story and rambler style homes tha...

Yesterday I got out of the office and ventured around Marysville to take some pictures. My first stop is Cedarcrest South just off 67th on the East end of town. Upon entering the neighborhood you are greeted by the neighborhood sign, which needs some TLC, and wide streets for easy traveling. Cedarcrest South is comprised of both two story homes and rambles with unique styling, large lot sizes and ample driveway and street parking (some homes have RV parking as well).

So you may be wondering "why and the heck would I move to Marysville Washington over another city?" and the reason is: location, location, location. Marysville Washington is so centralized it isn't even funny. Near the major Cities: Marysville Washington is 30 miles north of Seattle, 10 miles from Lynnwood, 2 miles from Everett. If working in a metropolitan area is a must then take some time to travel North and see what type of living environment and relaxed atmosphere that is Marysville Washington.Near the Water: The Puget Sound is but a hope skip and jump, literally, to get to and can be accessed through many ways. One of the easiest places to access the Puget Sound is through Ebey Waterfront Park. But if that park doesn't work for your boat size travel to the Everett Marina, just off...

A few weeks ago I got out and took some pictures and Sunnyside Hills was one of the neighborhoods. Sunnyside Hills boarders the main arterials 67th and Sunnyside Boulevard and is part of the greater Sunnyside Neighborhood according to the City of Marysville's Comprehensive Plan. It is one of Marysville's older neighborhoods which makes it a great place for new buyers and investment property owners. The schools that serve Sunnyside Hills are Sunnyside Elementary, Marysville Middle School, Marysville Junior High and Marysville Pilchuck High School. I went to all three of the schools while I live two blocks North of Sunnyside Hills. It was also one my favorite spots to go trick-or-treating and to play around.

Well it seems that Father Winter is no going to go quietly into the night. This morning most people in Marysville woke up with a dusting of snow on the ground and as I sit at my desk it is still snowing off and on. I was talking to Mickie this morning and in the South Eastern end of Marysville, Sunnyside area, there was plenty on the ground which made the road a tad slick. When watching the news last night, my girlfriend and I were hoping that there would be enough snow to stay home but our wish didn't come true. From the looks of the forecast our area might get some more tonight but that could just be wishful thinking and interrupting the forecast in my own way :)Being a snow junkie, and just getting back from Mount Hood, I will take the opportunity to take snow days, play in the snow,...

Marysville is a changing and dynamic little city that it is difficult to stay on top of all the major movements. There are two big categories in Marysville's development; new construction and commercial residential retail service stores. Quandrant is building Berrywood on 83rd in Marysville, soon there will be a post up on it, and the city is allowing major companies to enter the area near Smokey Point. These are Costco, Target and so much more. Swing up north for some action :)

Cumberland Court neighborhood is a smaller community in Marysville approximately 35 homes. Being located in the great Kellogg Neighborhood it is offer centrality to schools like Kellogg Marsh Elementary, Cedarcrest and Marysville Pilchuck High School. With great curb appeal, Cumberland Court is a great neighborhood for families because it ends in a cult-ta-sac and children always are playing in the street so friends are easy to make. Cumberland Court was built by multiple builders, which usually makes for a botched neighborhood design, that has design flow typical with one one builder. It gives the neighborhood a unique feel and appeal that larger neighborhoods/developments have.
