The forecast for Williamsburg for Sunday was misleading to say the least.  It called for flurries but we had pretty heavy snow for almost four hours.     It was beautiful. The cold dry air that came through after the snow dried up the streets and caused the temperature to plunge.  We are expecting lows in the teens tonight!  BRRR!      01/17/2016

The College of William andMary is the second oldest college in the United States.  It was established in 1693.  William and Mary had the first law school in the United States.   The team colors for the William and Mary Tribe are green and yellow.   The primary schools at William and Mary are education, business, law, social sciences and theatre. Late on the night before Christmas, Colonial Williamsburg was still and quiet.        This beautiful Christmas Tree is located between Frances Street and Duke of Gloucester Street and stands between 60 and 75 feet tall. There was a full moon but the night was overcast and quite dark so the tree almost looked like it was floating in the darkness.    Merry Christmas to everyone! 12/25/2015

The official beginning of the Christmas season for Colonial Williamsburg begins the first Sunday in December every year with the Grand Illumination. Fireworks illuminate the sky in three locations simultaneously: The Capital, the governor's Palace and the Magazine.  The festivites begin at 5:00 pm and the fireworks are at 7 pm.  There will be live music from the fife and drums, candles will twinkle in many windows and the finale will be similtaneous fireworks in three different locations. Click here for more information    12/01/2015
