I Need Help!  I have been contacted by a member of AR that I believe has been around for a long, long time(Judging by her points) that says that I have been spamming.  I just started here (and blogging at all) in Oct. or Nov. of 2008.  I was told at a tech. seminar to make sure to use SEO when you blog.  Is this spam?  When I view this persons blog, there is plenty of wording on the bottom of her page and under her picture asking for business.  I happen to write my lines in at the begining and end of my blog.  I am actually doing a blog each day about the different Ammendments to the Constitution.  I put my usual line before and after the blog.  I have seen plenty of blogs on AR that take days to complete.  Please let me know if I am doing things wrong.  Like I said, I am VERY new at th...

Hello Everyone!  This is your friend Nate Rowe the realtor in Richmond VA representing homes in Richmond VA and homes in Henrico County VA.  I love Richmond VA real estate. Today, I want to spotlight a historical event.  Some historical events affect the future in ways we regret or celebrate forever.  Some are just footnotes in the chain of human existence. I was in my elementary school classroom watching on T.V. when this event happened. On January 28th, 1986 space shuttle Challenger was launched on a cold morning in Florida.  Just over 1 minute into the flight, an "O-ring" seal failed in the fuel storage area causing a destructive explosion.  Seven brave crew members, Michael Smith, Dick Scobee, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAullife, Gregory Jarvis and Judith Resnik were l...

On January 27th, 1967 during a training exercise for the Apollo Space Program, a fire broke out in the command module.  Three astronauts were trapped inside the sealed compartment and were killed.  Air Force Colonels Virgil Grissom and Edward White, and Navy Commander Roger Chaffee lost their lives that day in preparation for an upcoming outer space launch.  Many safety upgrades to the modules followed the tragic event. Today, I want to spotlight a historical event.  Some historical events affect the future in ways we regret or celebrate forever.  Some are just footnotes in the chain of human existence. On January 26th, 1972 a passenger jet was flying at 33,000' above Czechoslovakia when an explosion ripped the plane apart.  The plane fell to the ground in many pieces as would be expected.  In one rather large section where the wings had been a young lady was found alive.  Flight attendant Vesna Vulovic survived the crash with several broken bones and temporary paralysis.  After her recovery Vesna did fly again, and said she...

Hello Everyone!  This is your friend Nate Rowe the realtor in Richmond VA representing homes in Richmond VA and homes in Henrico County VA.  Sometimes, I think I will just post a short memo that has no major historical interest.  I think it will be more or less a "trivia" posting.  Today, I have one that fits that category. "From Mr. John Martin, a farmer who lives some six miles south of this city, we learn the following strange story:  Tuesday morning while out hunting, his attention was directed to a dark object high up in the southern sky.  The peculiar shape and velocity with which the object seemed to approach riveted his attention and he strained his eyes to discover its character. "When first noticed, it appeared to be about the size of an orange, which continued to grow in size...

January 24th, 1848 was the day gold was found in California, leading to the great gold rush there.  James Marshall was a carpenter working on the saw mill of his partner Johann Sutter near Coloma, California, when they found it.  Unfortunately for the pair, others were also present, and the word soon got out.  The non-Indian population of California grew from 20,000 in 1848 to 100,000 in 1849 and twice that amount again by 1852. Please remember, if you know of anyo...
