Yesterday's NASCAR race was at the half-mile Martinsville track and the boys really did mix it up.  There was a lot of talk by drivers about tire wear before the race.  However, that didn't seem to be a real issue during the race itself.  As is typical at these short tracks, you need to be out front to dominate.  Pole-sitter Jamie McMurray (#1) kept the lead for the first 30 laps or so, when Ryan Newman (#39) briefly took over before Denny Hamlin (#11) blew by them both on Lap 35.  The Hendricks boys (#5, #24, #48 & #88) seemed to be doing quite well, with all four cars in the top 10 at one point. On Lap 220, Martin Truex Jr's (#56) throttle get stuck.  He is unable to slow down in a turn and ends up ramming into the safer barrier wall at full speed, taking Kasey Kahne (#4) out with him...

If you contact me I will help you get prequalified as many do not know the first thing how to do this.I will show you houses within the prequalification amount to keep in your budget, this way you are not wasting your time looking at houses that you can't afford.  This is why its important to get prequalifed or preapproved ! Make sure your loan officer pulls your credit, knows your total income.  Once your credit is pulled, they will look at your debt to income ratio, they will tell you if you can buy a house at this time, if so.........what max amount you should be looking at !!Many first time buyers do not have any money down, if the credit is good enough chances are you may qualify for a USDA loan with closing costs rolled in.  Everyone needs to keep tabs on their credit score and ch...

"We love this place" is our area's motto.  Being in the real estate business, I see more and more people moving here from states such as New York, New Jersey, and Florida.  Why?  Is it because of our lower tax base and cost of living?  Is it that Martinsville is conveniently located to Roanoke, Christiansburg, and Blacksburg, VA, along with Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point, NC?  Is it the friendliness of our residents?  Whatever the reason may be, we love this place.  Check out the following websites for more information:  www.Martinsville.com and www.YesMartinsville.com.

Preparing Your House For SaleOne of the first things we will do before putting your house on the market is prepare your house for sale. We want to show your house off in its best light to maximize your earning potential. Your agent will tour your house with the eye of a buyer - what works, what doesn't work. Curb Appeal........Do You Have it?Does your house have curb appeal? Can you give it a little more pizzazz to draw the buyer in? Would a bit of touch-up paint add dollars to the sale? What about the garden? Is the lawn in order and neatly edged? Are trees and bushes neatly pruned? Are flowers in bloom? If not, it may be time for a garden upgrade. Adding colorful annuals to the front garden will make a big difference. Remember, creating curb appeal will add dollars to your house's fin...
