   YELLOW School is now open in Prince William County and the rest of the country. You would think all drivers would realize and respect the purpose of school speed signs and school bus lights is to protect our children. Quite frequently, offenders will be young mothers with small children in car seats. You have to wonder what their attitude will be about an offender when their child is in school.The same is true of school buses. Their amber lights flash before they come to a full stop and turn red. It is not at all unusual to see drivers try to get by before they turn red. The church above was built in 1847 by Episcopalians and named Saint James. At some point in time they used it as the Prince William Academy. It was next acquired by the Church of the Brethren. During the Civil War it was used by both Confederate and Union troops as a barracks and hospital. By the end of the war the interior of the church was in ruins, but the solid stone exterior was intact.In 1866 a Baptist church was organized in Brentsville. There are no records to indicate where services were held. However, in 1897 then pastor Dr. William E. Just Sold:  Montclair Single Family Home for $457,000 On May 28th (2014) I had the pleasure of listing a meticulously maintained single family home in Dumfries' sought after community of Montclair.  The list price was set at $454,500.  It was higher than neighboring properties hadgarnered in their sales prices, but this was definitely not the run of the mill Montclair home.   For starters, it had brand new vinyl siding and new gutters.  Most of the homes in the area still had aluminum siding.  It had new windows and doors and a renovated kitchen.  Most importantly, it had a great lot.  It wasn't waterfront, but who needs that when you have nearly half an acre of wooded seclusion with a stamped concrete patio, deck and hot tub.  It was only eight days before someone fell in love with it.... 07/07/2014
