Below are two image's I recorded of fishing boats at Chincoteague, Va. on Assateague Island in Accomack County on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Chincoteague is best known for the Chincoteague Ponies made famous by Marguerite Henry's children's book Misty of Chincoteague. Most of Assateague Island is preserved as The Assateague Island National Shore and the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and is well worth a visit for the beautiful beaches, Assateague lighthouse, wildlife, and driving on the beach in your properly equipped 4x4, with a permit issued by the park.   Copyright Notice All images appearing herein are the exclusive property of B.
