Information gathered from any Utah municipal energy audits in Manila in Daggett County, Utah will be used to determine energy efficiency, retrofitting and weatherization projects using funds from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG). Retrofitting projects will include air infiltration, energy efficient windows and doors, insulation levels, weather-stripping and caulking, and electric base loads.   Using its EECBG formula funding to retrofit and improve the energy efficiency of a number of it's municipal buildings that will result in substantial reduction in energy usage. Cache County Monthly Sales Report       January is almost over and this month there have been 40 residential properties sold. That is down from 78 in January of 2008. The volume is down, but the price is up. Last January the average sold price of homes in Cache Valley was $190,950. This January it is $192,820. We are down from the highest average price of $205,495 in April of '08. Overall we can't complain about the real estate market in Cache Valley. Other parts of the country and even Utah are much worse off then we are.       If you are looking for a good deal on Real Estate in Cache Valley now is the time to buy. I recently went up to the Browns Park Utah area hunting garnet. We hiked up the partially dry creek bed and up a draw to search through the rocks. We didn't have to much luck. We may have been in the wrong area. My Sister found a large piece we think is garnet. I did get some photos to share.   This is the draw looking down from halfway up.       Here is the draw looking up     It was tricky going up the draw and even trickier going down!   Possible dangerous landing spots!       Snakegrass     Great View

I took this picture while on a trip to find garnets in Utah. I loved how serene this pictures looks. It makes me just want to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Away from the demands of daily life. To remember that there is more to life that bills, work, and stress.
