Why You Should Move To Utah,  Ogden Valley (Plus Homes For Sale) What's all the excitement about living in Utah, specificaly in Ogden Valley?  Well, I'm just a little biased because I live here, LOVE it, and moved from 1/2 way across the county to be here and enjoy this incredible mountain lifestyle.  Where to start, and how do I try to describe what it's like to live in the prettiest place on the planet (yes, I told you I was a little biased)?  If you like skiing or riding at Snowbasin or Powder Moutain, this is the place for you (and only an hour from the SLC Airport). If you've never heard of our valley, featuring the towns of Eden, Liberty and Huntsville Utah, don't feel bad - it really is Utah's best kept secret (and still a buyer's market if you're thinking of calling our little p...

By Ann Zieve (Google) I’ve seen more signs of the real estate market in Ogden, Kaysville, Farmington, Layton and Farr West continue to improve.  I’ve been doing weekly video updates and when you look at the summary of the last 4-5 weeks, you’ll be equally excited about what’s happening in other towns like those in the Ogden Valley (Eden, Huntsville and Liberty) – all near Snowbasin, Power Mountain and Pineview. So let’s get to it – here are the links/dates for my most recent video updates on the market, including the how-to’s about real estate that I share in those videos.  All are about 3 minutes each: 1/25/13 How to compare any two areas/cities/towns in Northern Utah (community information, schools, social scenes, weather, crime, much more…) I show you how to do that and reveal some p...

On the heals of the Weber County commission's approval last Tuesday of Powder Mountain's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for future development, yesterday Snowbasin announced development plans for the 11,800 acres it owns (8000 in Morgan County, 3800 in Weber County).  Snowbasin estimates 1500 or more units will ultimately be built in/around Earl's Village adjacent to the main lodge. Unlike Powder Mountain, Snowbasin has worked with the Weber County Planning Commission and Ogden Valley residents all along, and is utilizing the "Destination and Recreation Resort Zone" that was created last year, and will be transferring over 500 development units from land in the Ogden Valley, near Pineview Reservoir for development at the resort.  Snowbasin also announced it will be adding a second en...

The Ogden Valley Planning Commision approved a conditional-use permit for a sewage treatment plant that will serve a proposed 150 home subdivision (Bison Creek Ranch) and several smaller subdivisions.  The treatment plant is being designed to look like a barn and will use membrane bioreactor technology.  Weber County will govern the plant, once its built.  The treatment plant will be able to service approximately 225 homes.  Destination Eden, the developer of Bison Creek Ranch, is also working to get approval for a culinary water reservoir that will supply the subdivision. Please post any comments you wish to make on my primary blog.  Thanks.

A preliminary plan has been approved for 150 homes to be built off of Highway 39.  There would also be a sewage treatment plan that would serve the new homes.  At a recent meeting, some commissioners support and some oppose.  The concern that was voiced at a meeting was to protect the wetlands.  There was talk about ways that the homes could be built and the wetlands can also be protected.  The builder is Destination Eden and the propsed land is 460 acres of land.
