 Why visit Wylie Texas? The city between the lakes Downtown Wylie, TX has some great food and shopping! I didn't realize what a small town Wylie was until it grew! It had one stop sign and one grocery store for may years! I drove to Plano Texas for everything, movies, shopping, Walmart & restaurants. Our visitors had to stay in hotels in Rockwall or Plano.  Not anymore! Home Sales Market Report for Wylie TX January 2015 Inventory is up slightly compared to last year but the average days on market is lower than this time last year. The median sales price is a truer picture of the market since the average is most likely including new home sales put on the multiple listing service. New homes are selling fast and prices are rising! The average time to build a new construction home is 8-12 months for most home builders. Due to low inventory in pre-owned homes, new sales are on the rise.
