SALE PENDING @ 5 Lakeshore in Carolina Cove A Sale is Pending on this beautiful home in Carolina Cove. Inspections are set for next week and we are praying for a great report. After inspections, there will be a long wait to close on this one as we are waiting for some personal things to take place before it closes. The good news is, EVERYONE is fully aware of this, and it happens to work for both the buyers and the sellers. Who knows.... things may happen faster than expected and we may get to close earlier. Suddenly a Fire Broke Out in Riverside, Texas   Saturday afternoon, my husband was at our land along the Trinity River working on the riding lawn mower when he heard a crackling sound. His first thought was “Hey! I’m not burning anything!”  Immediately he began to look for where the sound was coming from. As it turned out, the sound was a fire that had started down by the river. The site of the fire was some exposed river bottom that had been exposed due to the severe drought of 2011. The fire was spreading and coming toward our land and several homes.   Rick ran next door and told our neighbor, Paul, about the fire. He asked Paul to call 911 and stand out in the street to flag the fire department when they came. Then he ran and jumped on his tractor and headed down to the fire.   With... 01/08/2012

Riverside Lakeland Market Report for 2011 Riverside Lakeland is a lot like Carolina Cove in that once people move here.... they like to stay!  However, in 2011 Riverside Lakeland had 4 sales: 1 regular, 2 estate sales and 1 foreclosure. There were 3 expired listings that did not sell in 2011 in Riverside Lakeland and 3 homes currently for sale:  2 regular sales (one is waterfront) and 1 foreclosure.     If you are considering selling your Riverside Lakeland home please keep in mind that if your home is waterfront and you have to take stairs to get down to the water, expect to get 8 - 10% less than your comparable waterfront home sales (unless of course they also have stairs down to the water.) I do not mean to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the most common reason for a waterfro... 12/28/2011

Carolina Cove Market Report for 2011 Carolina Cove did not see much action during 2011. In my opinion, that is because once someone moves to Carolina Cove.... they don’t want to leave. Typically when a homeowner sells their Carolina Cove home, it is because they are moving closer to their children, OR... they are not close enough to use their lake house like they would like to.   There were two closed sales in Carolina Cove during the year 2011. Both of these homes were waterfront homes, and BOTH were listed with Anderson Properties in beautiful Riverside, Texas! ☺ These waterfront homes were built in 1978 and 1990, and sold for an average of 105.00 per square foot. The Children’s Christmas Extravaganza Was GREAT! No show goes on without a few hiccups! And The Children's Christmas Extravaganza was no exception! Our little girls were scheduled to open the event singing The 12 Days of Christmas.  Each girl was assigned a day with EVERYONE singing “and a partridge in a pear tree”.   Well.... Day number 5 was nowhere to be found. WHAT?! No “5 Golden Rings”?! As always... Brother Jim was eager to fill in wherever needed. EVEN if it meant being a little girl for a bit. He was the hit of the song. He used his falsetto voice, and kept everyone laughing each time he was handed the microphone to sing his part!     So... the show went on and the Children's Christmas Extravaganza  was a big success! 2011 Market Report for Green Rich Shores on Lake Livingston I do realize that its only December, but ...since there are no current active listings in Green Rich Shores, I thought I would go ahead and give you a recap for 2011.
