Some Things Never Change If you read my post yesterday, then you have already met Miss Minnie. If not, then click here and check her out. Today, when The Princess Mama (TPM) and I went to paint fingernails at Ella, I saw Miss Minnie in the dining room. And GUESS WHAT?! She had something for me.  There in the basket of her buggy (walker) was a stack of blue papers. She handed me one of the pages, and on it, there was a poem about life. ☺ See... I told you she always has something for you. She made sure that I understood that she did not write the poem... that it was just something that she had memorized... and she just wanted her friends to have it. ♥ I said, "Wait! The Faces of Riverside, Texas: Minnie Johnson We purchased a home in Carolina Cove off of Thomas Lake Road in 1994 and quickly began attending the Thomas Lake Road Community Association monthly dinners. This is where I first met “Miss Minnie.” Miss Minnie is one of those people who loves hugs and she always has something to give you! BUT WATCH OUT! She also wants to take your man! ☺ Ever since I have known Miss Minnie she has always been making and giving things away. If you ran into her at the store, she’d say “Hold on a minute. I have something for you.” Then she’d dig around in her purse and pull out something she had made.  Once it was a  dollar bill that she had folded into some kind of flower. I Survived VBS 2012! Hello ActiveRain Peeps! I have missed you all LIKE crazy! Here’s a glimpse of what I have been doing every night this week from 5:30 to 9:00 pm. I shot over 700 photos and I have no idea how many video clips. I made this short video on iMovies. It's a combination of short video clips and still shots from my iPhone. CAMP MEETING 2012 It’s tent raising time again at Riverside Adventures in beautiful Riverside, Texas! What’s the tent for? I’m glad you asked! The tent is for Camp Meeting 2012 which is an old fashioned tent revival. What’s really cool about this revival is the fact that it is put on by 5 local churches. Each night a church is responsible for serving supper, a pre service concert, working childrens camp, and preaching the word. Supper is served at 5:30 and it is inexpensive. Something like $2 or $3 a plate (I can’t remember) -- BUT --  that includes your drink AND dessert! While you’re eating dinner, you will enjoy free concerts from different Christian bands. This was one of those deals where the buyers started out with their own lender. It was off to shaky ground when they lied to them right off the bat. He was told they could close in 2 weeks. I put a 3 week closing date and the lender immediately asked for an extension. THEN... A week before closing they told them that they needed some new things and it would be another two weeks before it could even go back to underwriting for approval. Meanwhile, I had been bragging about how wonderful Susan and Courtney are at THE MORTGAGE CORNER. So... they decided to give them a call. To make a long story short...
